Rainy Morning

Nothing is more precious to memory than the experiences that happen within surprise.   What a day to remember would this have been, had I chanced just then to be walking along, and you were there, and you were in a bit of a state, and you looked up just then to meet my eyes.   Let it rain, I say....just let it keep raining, and we'll stand inside it here for this moment together, and I'll hold onto it--even if our destinies are not meant to intertwine--for as long as I can possibly remember it.
